Pöyry specialists (Finnland) visit Perm to discuss the General Master Plan.
Last week, the leading specialists of Pöyry company (one of the developers of proposals for the General Master Plan) held several working meetings with Perm Krai and municipal authorities as well as with the city transport and power professionals. The specialists also visited the city heat and power supply plants and talked with their top management.
The visit of the foreign specialists was aimed at discussing the issues of municipal power and heat supply, which served as the base for the further development of Perm General Master Plan. During their visit, the Pöyry specialists discussed with the Perm authorities the future transport model of the city, parking lot regulations, and gas station locations.
As Liliya Shiryaeva, Deputy City Manager, notes, "The concept of the General Master Plan was made public in February 2009. At this stage, it is important that we heard expert opinions and professional proposals regarding the Master Plan. The top-management of power, gas, and transport companies are actively participating in the discussion. Such joint efforts will undoubtedly lead to effective results."
